The Ohio Sessions, another Political Party Compilation

Wednesday March 13th we settled into Premium Recordings right next to North Loop for a 12 hour session of 5 bands each recording 2 tracks each. The idea was to get as close to a live sound as possible inside the confines of a studio, and i think we came pretty close to accomplishing that task.

Each band had two hours to drop their tracks, and regardless of the many warnings of others about the chaos that was sure to unfold with too many bands sharing the same space in a short period of time, everything ran on schedule and smooth except for The Monocles, who got caught in the el traffico on the way from Houston. So they had an hour instead of two.

Below are the still very very rough mixes of the album set to drop on May 1st to a hard drive near you. I'm only posting one song each for now just to give you a general idea of what to expect, but for sure there will be artwork and maybe a game of pictionary included by the time the full version is ready.
